Santa Ana River Crest to Coast Trail
I remember Susan from the sales office had shown me an article about the Santa Ana River trail. The project will build a trail or link all trails from Orange County coast line passing Riverside to San Bernardino mountain. After some googling, I found the link below that provided detailed information regarding progress and future direction of the project.

Just want to add that it would be great to be able to run, walk, or ride your bike south to the beach and north to the mountain when the trail is completed.
A small portion behind Dearborn St (near Grapewin St off Archibald) has already been finished. It has two trails, dirt and paved, right by the river. The Grapewin portion is under construction now.
